Snow Fun!!!

Kaeson has wanted to build a snowman for such a long time. He has seen that pretty much everyone in our neighborhood has a snowman. Yesterday was such a nice day, Clint decided to take him out and have some fun.
As you can tell, Kaeson thinks his snowman is the best. I added the hat, scarf and nose and that is when he started getting very curious about this SNOWMAN.
Since our first snow fall we have been making a huge pile of snow and we finally made a cave. Kaeson loves it.

Project Runway!!!

Kaeson and Ellie decided to wear my high heels and do a little dress up. Ellie thought this was pretty cool. She is becoming more of a little girl everyday. She loves it when I paint her finger nails and she likes when her hair is done. She even has her hands behind her back, what a proper little girl.

First Day...

Of Preschool! Today was the day that I sent my little boy off to preschool. It was a little boring without him but Ellie and I had a good time.
Can you tell Kaeson is excited about his new backpack? He loved preschool today. He can't wait to go back. I'm so happy that he was accepted and is able to go. He is growing up so fast.

I was so excited about Kaeson going to preschool, once I sent him off I was a sad. I was also feeling old. I'm only 24 and I have a 3 year old. I know 24 isn't old but that is how I was feeling. I know there are only more years to come when I feel like this.

Monkey

This is Kaeson being a monkey.

I think it is about time that I move that chair. What do you think?

Pony Tail

Look at how old my little girl is getting. She's not even 16 months yet and I can already put her hair in a pony tail. It doesn't stay all day but it's good enough for now.

Christmas and New Years

Kaeson saying "Hi" to Papa. As many of you know we headed to California for Christmas. This was the first year that Clint and I spent with my family for Christmas. It was a long 13 hours but we were able to cut the trip 2 hour by spending the night with some friends from College. Thanks Rusty and Brendi! We had a lot of fun hanging out and getting our keys back. Driving to California was probably the worst day of my life. Clint got a ticket in Nevada that cost us 185 dollars, I locked the keys in the truck which took 2 1/2 hours to get out and then we found out that we have AAA and they would have come out to do it for free, and Ellie was crying pretty much the whole time. Despite our drive we had a great time.
Ellie warmed right up to Papa and was playing with him in no time. I love this picture because she has a toy train driving it up Papa.
I was a little surprised that my kids did so well with new faces since we don't see my family very often, they did great and had fun.
Kaeson got a train set, which is what he really wanted.
Playing with Ellie and showing her how it works.

Kaeson loves his train and will make a tunnel with his legs for it to go through.
I'm not sure what Kaeson was doing but he sure did have fun in the box. Maybe he wanted to be my present which is the greatest present of all.
Kaeson liked Reggie's bed more then Reggie. We spent Christmas Eve with my mom and sisters and Chirstmas with my Dad. Going to seperate places was harder then I thought but we made it work out.
Kaeson playing Wii with Tommi. He had fun with Tommi and Tori.
On our way home was much better. Ellie must have been really tired cause she fell right asleep with this candy cane.
Both of them were worn out. It made for a nice trip home.
We spent New Years Eve with Clint's family for a couple of hours. The kids got to pop lots of balloons and had fun. After the fun was over we headed to spend some time with friends. It was a short night but we were able to put the kids to bed around 8:30.
Clint got a camel pack for Christmas and Kaeson has been using it a lot. I really don't like when he uses it cause then he has to go to the bathroom a lot but he sure does like it.
My mom made Kaeson this really neat car mat. She did a great job and we had fun helping her color it. Thanks mom, he loves it.
Since we have about 8 inches of snow we decided to go to the skate park and have fun. It was hard coming back to snow because it was so nice being in 60 degree weather while we were there.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I hope everyone has a happy New Year!

Kaeson's 3

Kaeson turned 3 on Sunday, I know once again I am behind. It makes me so sad and happy at the same time that he is getting so big. Sad because he is getting so big and growing so fast. Happy because he makes me laugh almost every day. We had a little family birthday party and he had a blast. He couldn't wait to open his presents. We were waiting for Cody and her family I had told Kaeson "you have to wait until Kannon gets here to open your presents" He took that seriously and when Kannon walked in the door he started opening. After present opening Kaeson and Kannon had a silly string fight in our kitchen. I love Kannon's face.

Spraying each other.
Kaeson thought it was pretty cool that I made him a train cake. He was so excited to watch me put it together and eat it.
Love this face. Pure joy!!!
The boys got first dibs on the candy. They sure went to town. I think baby Karter enjoyed it too.

We sure did have fun. Thanks for coming.

I wanted to share some things that I love about Kaeson...
1.) Kaeson is very obedient. Just the other day I said "that is dangerous, so don't do that." Kaeson said "is that bad?" He will ask if a new word he hears is bad so then he knows if he can say it for not.
2.) When we are at other people's house Kaeson is pretty protective over Ellie. He makes sure that he doesn't get hurt. So cute.
3.) Loves anything with wheels.
4.) Kaeson loves to play with anyone. He goes into nursery every week and doesn't even care when I leave.
5.) He thinks he is so funny when he makes up words and will just start laughing.
6.) Makes me laugh everyday. That is the best one.

I love you Kaeson!!!

Playing together

There is nothing that I love better then when my children play together. It makes Ellie feel like such a big girl and Kaeson is enjoying her more.
He's getting so big, Clint thought we should teach him how to shave. Well actually Kaeson does everything Clint does. Clint was shaving so Kaeson and Ellie had to as well.

Yes Ellie is sharing her food with Samba. What a goofy girl.
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and remember the very special person that we are truly celebrating.

Winter Activites

I know it has been a while since I have updated. It snowed during Thanksgiving break so we went to campus and went sledding down the hills there.Kaeson pulling his new sled
Clint and Kaeson going down the sled. Kaeson did not like going down the big hills. I think it was because snow got in his face. But Ellie loved going down the big hills.
Kaeson pulling his sled up the hill.
Ellie and Kaeson going down together. Ellie absolutely loves the snow. She would fall down just to put her face in the snow to get a nice cold treat.
Kaeson sharing one headphone. They are listening to some tunes.
Since we have been locked inside (3 degree weather) we have had to come up with some new activities.
The kids love it.
Clint was pulling Kaeson in the sled and I just loved this picture of Ellie.
We went to the dentist and the kids did great. Ellie was a little scared of having new hands in her mouth but she didn't cry.
Kaeson did awesome. He has no cavities, which is fantastic!!!

Learned Something New!!!

Today Kaeson spilled my Scensty on the wall and I thought that I would share with the rest of you how I got it off. It was really amazing. I googled it but it's all the same. I took an old towel and my iron and put the towel on the wax and placed my iron on. Amazing!!! I was so happy when it came off. If you have an accident with candle wax I would totally try this.

Embarrassing !!!

Today was my real embarrassing, funny moment at Wal-mart. Kaeson was out of the cart and was following us in the hygiene section. I was in front when when I heard Kaeson say "I got some night-times (pull-ups) Mommy!" I turned around a little confused because we weren't by the diapers. He had some maxi pads in his hand. I was very glad not a lot of people were around.

Somethings I'm Thankful For

I'm just wanted to share some of the things I'm thankful for...
  • The Pilgrims who wanted to be free and fought for it with everything they had so I could be free now.
  • The Pioneers who suffered everything because they knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. They suffered so much and blessed for all their trials. I can't even imagine being in their shoes.
  • I'm grateful for the troops that are fighting for our country. They put their lives on the line for us and I'm truly grateful.
  • I have a great family. I'm grateful for my sisters and the friendships that we have that keeps growing. I'm not only talking about my family, I'm talking about Clint's family and all they do for us. They are so good and loving. I'm grateful that we live close to them and they are always willing to watch our children. We are truly blessed.
  • I'm thankful for Clint. He is a wonderful, loving husband and father. I know he worries a lot about supporting us and finding a good job but he already does a great job. I love how he treats and plays with our children.
  • I'm thankful for my kids. They bring my joy everyday and a smile on my face. Kaeson is always saying something fun and I love waking up to his smiling face. Ellie is such a copy cat that she cracks me up and I'm grateful for her loves (kisses and hugs)she gives me. I have great kids and I love them so much.
  • I'm thankful for the friendships that I have. I have some really wonderful friends that teach me a lot and that love me for who I am.
  • I'm thankful for the Temple that I can go to anytime that I want. It doesn't always happen like that but I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to go whenever I can.
  • Most of all I'm thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Staples

I know what you are thinking, this kid gets hurt all the time. I felt really bad when this happened but I was painting some Christmas gifts and at the time when this happened I was painting red. Kaeson was watching me and we was leaning on the table, he had his feet on the chair and the chair slipped out and he fell and hit his head on the chair. This is the damage. I didn't know he was bleeding until the felt my hand was really sticky and then I started to worry.

The doctor decided to numb the split.
We had to wait for about 20 minutes before the doctor would put the staples in.

You can see the big bump on this head. Some of it is a goose egg but when the doctor put the medicine on, he also put it on a gauze.

The finished product. Looks pretty good!

I thought that I would add that the only time Kaeson cried was when he hit it for about a minute, until I kissed it better. He didn't cry when the doctor put the staples in, which was pretty amazing. And he doesn't cry when I have to put medicine on it. (Thanks Morgan for the reminder)

Bus Ride

We have a guy in our ward who lives behind us that drives this bus. He just started this business and doesn't have a lot of costumers yet so this, was the perfect time to ask for a ride. We play outside a lot and every time Kaeson sees this bus he is always asking me questions about it. It's not a school bus so he was very curious about it. Well I asked if we could take a ride on one of his routes, he said yes. So here is our adventures...

Waiting to go for a ride, and checking out the bus.

Loving the view
After a block, Ellie decided she wanted to be a big girl and sit in a chair too.
Since Clint has been gone we have had to find extra things for us to do. We made these fun turkey hats. Ellie really likes her's.

Table for Three

This has a double meaning but first I thought I would share. This morning I asked Kaeson if he wanted some eggs. He said yes and that Tigger and Pooh bear wanted some too. I said ok and he started eating.I guess Tigger was really hungry because he was eating some of Kaeson's eggs.
Pooh just sat there looking at his eggs, he couldn't reach so he didn't eat.
The other reason this is a table of three is because Clint had to leave for a week for work and will be back on Saturday. I hope it won't be to bad without Clint. I know the kids will miss him so much. If anyone wants to play this week please call me.
